I presently have a 1390LMT and am looking to upgrade. I've never been able to understand how to set up a detailed route, save it, then use it on the gps. If I get the term correct, I'm looking for a unit that has trip planner? (I can uses custom POI's or those in the unit to create a custom route, save it to the GPS then recall and use it when I want it?)
Sorry, with the 1390 I haven't been successful to create and save route on it (tried basecamp and mapsource).
I want a unit that I can create a route using roads and turns I want to follow to my destination, to save it on the gps, and modify it if needed.
Is the trip planner feature on all new Garmin's?
