    Hi guys

Just installed a Zumo 340 LM onto my motorcycle and for whatever reason it won't charge in the mount

I've put a meter on the pins for the connector and verified the power supply is ok with 5v

    Any ideas?

I'll have a look at the link thanks, I'm using an original Zumo cradle and power supply which has the two pins. They are definitely making contact.

I may also put it into diagnostic more later and see if there is an incoming voltage monitor

Is it possible that the power connector on the cradle is in possition '1' rather than position '2'?, or maybe it is upside down?

Yes it's in correct position, even if you remove connector it from cradle and plug straight into unit it's the same.

If you apply the connector the wrong way (incorrect polarity then the unit shuts down and reboots itself so it definitely knows it's getting power

I would try the secret menu (not tried this on a zumo), touch and hold the battery icon for 5 seconds to display battery charging, voltage etc.

Looked in the diagnostic menu and that showed no voltage being seen.

Contacted Garmin yesterday and told them all the steps I'd don't do they have offered me a replacement for £80

    Thanks for your help nebie
