Creating a GPX file from a route planner

I want to put a route from Belgium to Sweden in my Garmi Nüvi GPS.
Is there any route planner which I can use on my laptop that offers the possibility to export a route to a GPX file ?

Garmin Basecamp is free software for Windows and Mac. That will allow you to create a Route and then send the Route directly to a Nuvi or export a gpx file containing the Route that can be copied to the Nuvi's memory

If your Nuvi is connected to the laptop running Basecamp then Basecamp can 'see' the maps on your Nuvi and use them when creating the new Route
