Hi,
I'm using a friends Garmin foretrex 301gps for a long distance fell race in a couple of weeks. The GPS is really just a back up, I will primarily be using map and compass to navigate.
On a trial run we have managed to import a gpx route, find it on the device and to follow it. However if we deviated from the route slightly and didn't hit a waypoint, the device wanted us to go back to that point, rather than directing us to the next waypoint.
Can anyone explain the device is navigating through the route how to skip past a waypoint so the device then directs you to the next one?
Hope I have made my question clear.
I have a had a good look through the manual, but it seems some what cryptic, and is pretty short on detail.
Many thanks,
Martin
