Garmin/OS compatibility

I have the new OS mapping software on my laptop. However, I am unable to upload or download tracks and routes to/from my Garmin Etrex 20X. What am I missing?

Ordinance Survey Maps are in a different format to Garmin maps so you would only be able to install OS maps onto a Garmin if they were converted to a format that is compatible with Garmins, As far as Tracks and Routes are concerned they should be transferable as long as the files are in a format that the Garmin / OS can handle, tracks and routes saved as *.GPX should be O.K
