Help! Traffic stopped working

My Nuvi 2555 is about a month old and yesterday the traffic alert function stopped working. The traffic alert button stays green even though I was crawling along on the freeway yesterday coming hem from work. Touching the traffic alert button brings up the traffic page which shows that it is receiving the FM traffic signal. The traffic page says that there is no traffic or alternate route.

Does anyone have any ideas how to revive the traffic function?

I called Garmin and the tech suggested a master reset after backing up the data on the Nuvi. It worked great today going both to and from work.
