help with basecamp and loading maps to zumo XT

new zumo XT (using PC), I've been trying for days to plan a route from Florida to Maine without using interstates.
i can make the map import it to the GPS download it but when it gets to 100% and the saving it just
sits idle and won't do anything.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
i have even tried to load it on to a 32gb sd card.
even tried making the trip; into 4 days with maps for each day.

You can export the Route from Basecamp to a gpx file and then copy the gpx file into the /GPX folder of your microSD card, the Zumo will then 'see' this new Route

In Basecamp highlight the Route you have created, select File >> Export >> selected, enter a file name and save the gpx to a computer folder, then copy this gpx file and write it to the /GPX folder of your microSD card
