Need help, buy new or update current GPS?

    I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 1450 model GPS and I like it a lot but I need to update maps and I can buy the lifetime maps for $89.99 but it seems like most newer models come with lifetime maps so my predicament is should I just update to lifetime maps or buy a new GPS..

    The only problems with my current GPS I have are....

    The touch screen could be better, I'm used to a Iphone

    I would like to be able to force a different rout to avoid a certain road if I want to without scrolling over for 10 minutes to find it and adding a way point

    I would like to be able to search for a POI in another state and city instead of only local stuff

    POI searching can take a really long time to show any results.




    Given the above are there any current models that are int he $100-$150 or so range that fixes the above issues? Am I doing something wrong as far as the problems I listed above?

    Anyone have any advice?

    Also anyone know of good GPS's on sale right now with lifetime maps?
