Problems Garmin Etrex
Garmin etrex 15 years old gives deviation approximately 200 meters.
This happens no matter where my destiantin point is 1000 meter away
or 10000 meter. See example below.

My Etrex setup
UTM/UPS
European 1979
Metrisk
Magnetisk

GRADER

Marks waypoint
34W 0386778
UTM 7672928

Then going to the waypoint
The deviation to my real destination is approximately 200 meters

Why is that ? Can anybody help me.

This kind of offset may be caused by using different Map Datums, ( e.g. European 197(9) on Etrex and EU89 on map), when comparing a position on a map drawn with a different Map Datum. This can be changed on the Etrex with :- Page >> Setup >> Units >> Map Datum
