I had a Garmin GPS18 USB. It doesn't work any more. Although this is just a GPS receiver that requires a computer for mapping, it did what I needed, that is it fed realtime coordinate data to the computer. While looking for a replacement, all I can find are handheld devices with no information on computer usage beyond software and map updates. All of them are useless to me.
Can anyone here suggest a model to meet my needs? Primarily the ability to mark waypoints on my computer while I am there. Otherwise I'm left with entering coordinates by hand.
