What gps handheld for acreage determination?

    I’m looking to purchase a handheld gps unit that will allow me to walk or ride the perimeter of a field or stand of timber and give me an acreage readout. It would also like for it to be able to download the shape to a mapping program and/or smartphone. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Garmin Basecamp (Free to Download) will also plot a Track from any GPS and automatically calculate it's area
