I just moved in an area near low mountains/hills and I would like to go mushroom "hunting" in untracked areas.
I was wondering if someone could suggest some handheld gps units that work well in dense woods, let you easy add POI as you walk and let you add custom maps. Even better if it helps with altitude as well, but no problem if it doesn't.
I don't have particular budget limits, but I'd like not to spend a fortune. I just need something practical, with good battery life and an easy to read screen.
