Hi, brand new to GPS, and just got the Garmin Nuvi 50LM, and definitely want to have an AC adapter to charge it in the house. Don't feel like spending money on another charger, if I don't need to. Doing a little searching on the internet and seeing some people say that cell phone chargers and some mp3 player chargers will work. I have a couple different Motorola cell phone chargers, and a couple chargers for my Creative mp3 player. The Motorola charger that has mini USB is 5v/850mA, I believe, and the charger for the Creative are both 5v/1000mA, so will either, or both of these work o.k.? I read something about it thinking it's connected to a computer when plugged in with an underpowered charger.....something like that.....and that you can't use it while it's charging. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
